Renovated Hammond Park back open in Eureka

EUREKA – Eureka’s Hammond Park is now officially ready for play.

Friday afternoon’s grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony kicks-off the new renovation.

The location includes two new basketball courts, steal restrooms, and a concession stand for events.

The funding mainly comes from a $400,000 California State Parks Grant and partially from the City’s general fund.
