The Kiwanis Club honors Women of the Year

The Kiwanis Club of Henderson Center honored its 2018 “women of the year” today at the Sequoia Conference Center, during their fifth annual Women in Business Luncheon.

Three local business women were selected for the work they put into the community. And Dr. Roberta Luskin-hawk, CEO of St. Joseph hospital was the keynote speaker.

Nancy Flemming of the Sequoia Humane Society was named the “Nonprofit Woman of the Year.” Angela Petrusha of “Petrusha Law” was selected as “Businesswoman of the Year”. And Sue Bosch of “Humboldt Land and Title” was named “Woman of Distinction.” The chairman of the event tells us this is a way to honor local women that give back, regardless of recognition.
