Ferndale woman arrested for armed robbery in Fortuna

FORTUNA, CA., (KIEM)- It happened just before 8:30 on October 8, on Fortuna Boulevard near the Safeway intersection. A woman walked into a business with a knife, and demanded money. She got away, but Fortuna Police are confident, the robber is now in custody.

39-year-old Misty Macon was identified as the primary suspect in this case. Police say, after they searched her home (on Rassmusen Lane in Ferndale) they found evidence that connected her to the crime earlier this week. She’s now booked at the Humboldt County Jail.
