Man dead after hit-and-run fatal collision

WESTHAVEN – One man is dead after he was struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash near Westhaven.

Just after 5:30 this morning, the California Highway Patrol found the man lying on Highway 101 at 6th Avenue.

The victim was transported to St. Joseph Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name is being withheld until the next of kin is notified. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the CHP.
