Humboldt County residents buy local to support local

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) Humboldt County residents stood together and purchased local at the 6th Annual Eureka MOP Artisan Fair.

A chance to support local businesses and raise money for Mothers of Preschoolers, a group designed to welcome all mothers and to embrace the journey of motherhood.

Business owners came out to promote their products and to promote a good cause. Santa Claus even came out to lend a helping hand to this year’s Mother of Preschoolers Artisan Fair.

“This group caters to the mothers of preschoolers. We have been here for about 12 years and we have gone from serving 60 moms every second Friday to about 20 moms and it’s really a time in our lives where we need a lot of encouragement and a lot of help,” said Kaytee Henson, Coordinator of Mothers of Preschoolers.

For more information or if you would like to get involved with Mothers of Preschoolers the group meets at the First Church of Nazarene the 2nd Friday of every month from September to May 2019.
