Latest City of Eureka election results

A new mayor will soon be appointed in eureka. Replacing current mayor Frank Jager, will either be Michelle Constantine, Heidi Messner, or Susan Seaman. Earlier this evening, each candidate met with friends and family, awaiting tonight’s results and as they stand right now Susan Seaman is leading with 44% percent of votes so far.

To a packed race for Eureka’s ward one. Current council member, Marian Brady has served the maximum of 8 years on council. The candidates looking to take her place, are Caroline Brooks, Hailey Lamb, Leslie Castellano, and Anthony Mantova. Leading the race as of now is Leslie Castellano — claiming 37% of votes. Following behind is Anthony Mantova, with 31%.

For eureka’s third ward…Natalie Arroyo, John Fullerton, and Jeannie Breslin aim to replace current council member Kim Bergel. As it stands right now, current council member Natalie Arroyo is leading the race, with 48% of votes. And lastly, for Eureka’s fifth ward, that covers parts of old town and downtown eureka. Currently Natalie arroyo holds that title, but Joe Bonino and Kim Bergel have set their sights on the seat.
