The City of Eureka honors former Sergeant Jim Armstrong

EUREKA – The Eureka Police Department, and community at large, experienced the loss of a long-time, former Sergeant.

With heavy hearts, Eureka Police announced the passing of retired Sergeant Jim Armstrong today.

Armstrong passed away last night in his home in Eureka. He served with Eureka Police from 1981 to 2011

Armstrong was also currently working at the Sheriff’s Office as a part-time extra help deputy.

The mayor and city manager of Eureka directed all flags be put at half-staff today, in honor of Armstrong.
