Measure O projected to pass with over 70% approval

HUMBOLDT COUNTY – Election results show Measure O passing, with more than 70% of voters’ approval.

Measure O is essentially an extension of Measure Z, the half cent sales tax that funds local public safety projects.

Agencies that use this annual $12 million in funds include Fire Departments, Law Enforcement, and other county departments.

Sheriff William Honsal was arguably the biggest advocate for Measure O during this campaign season. And he tells Redwood News that he’s ecstatic to see the funding continue in the county.
