More dentists in Humboldt County to accept Denti-Cal

EUREKA, CA (KIEM)- Six more dental hygienists in Humboldt County will be able to provide care to local patients, through Denti-Cal.

It’s a part of a $4 million dental pilot grant.

Scholarships funded through the grant will give dentists the opportunity to complete a four-month training program, to expand their services as registered dental hygienists.

The program ultimately hopes to improve oral health care for income-eligible families, and their children.
