Four extricated after vehicle crash on Samoa Bridge

Four people were trapped inside a vehicle as a result of an accident on Highway 255 at the Samoa Bridge.

Personnel with Humboldt Bay Fire arrived to a Ford SUV rolled over on its side and used the “jaws of life” in order to extricate the victims. The first patient was extricated within 17 minutes and the other three were removed within 28 minutes.

Patients were transported to the hospital via ambulance and injuries ranged from minor to moderate.
