Volunteers serve the community at 3rd annual Thanksgiving Day Harvest Feast

ARCATA, CA. (KIEM) – Thanksgiving is a time for family, unity, and good food, and those traditions were displayed across the North Coast today.

The event was organized by the Arcata Veterans Group. The organization spent months promoting and preparing for the event. At the Arcata Veterans Hall, community members lined up, shoulder to shoulder, to enjoy the third annual Harvest Feast.

Members of the Arcata Veterans Group, Arcata House Partnership, and volunteers served a free turkey dinner starting at 11:00AM, through 6:00PM.

As one local business owner put it, Thanksgiving is not about what you have, but what you can give.
