Attempted smash and grab at local gas station

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) Someone tried to steal an ATM Machine from a Myrtle Avenue gas station but left empty handed.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary alarm at the Chevron gas station on the 1600 block of Myrtle Avenue.

Once arrived officials found the gas station’s front door smashed and the atm machine inside had been pulled towards the door.

According to the business owner, nothing appeared to have been stolen but no suspect information is available at this time.
