“Coats for Kids” accepting donations through December 21

Children of Humboldt County will be a little bit warmer this holiday season, thanks to the help of Benchmark Realty and the Boys and Girls Club, as they kick off their 4th annual “Coats for Kids.”

Last year they donated 500 coats to keep local youth warm, and this year they hope to exceed that goal. So far, they have 150 coats and will be taking in donations up until December 21st. Katy Bohman says it’s the kids’ faces when they receive their new coat, that keeps her doing this year after year.

To donate a coat you can drop it off at Eureka’s Benchmark Realty or drop off a check that will then go to the purchase of more coats.
