Car sale escalates into armed robbery in Eureka

A car sale escalated into an armed robbery at a residence east of Eureka yesterday afternoon.

According to Sheriff’s deputies, the male victim arrived at the 5100 block of Cummings Road to purchase the vehicle, but when the “seller” asked the victim to come in, he was allegedly confronted by two other suspects with a firearm. They stole the victim’s wallet, with $5,000 in cash.

All three fled in a gray Acura SUV, with New Jersey license plates. Anyone with information is asked to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office.
