Man with felony warrant wanted in Eureka

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – The Eureka Police Department needs your help tonight in finding a man with a felony warrant.

Around one this morning, an EPD officer saw a purple PT Cruiser driving east on 18th street towards Harrison avenue. The officer recognized the driver as 36-year-old Fernando Joel Calderson.

The officer says Calderon sped away, driving in excess of 90 miles per hour. A pursuit was initiated, but once Calderson reached R Street. Officers called off the pursuit, due to public safety concerns.

Anyone with information Calderon’s location is asked to call the EPD.
