Jeff Tsarnas involved in hit-and-run crash

A man who was involved in last week’s injury hit-and-run crash on Fernbridge has come forward to law enforcement.

Last Tuesday evening, 47-year-old Marie Kelly of Garberville was crossing the road when she was struck by a Toyota Corolla. She sustained major injuries.

The driver has since turned himself in  after the CHP released a photo of a broken side mirror from the crash site. The driver is 54-year-old Jeff Tsarnas of Myers Flat.

Tsarnas is the father of Faith Tsarnas. she was killed in a hit-and-run collision in 2016 with her friend Kiya Kitchen.

It’s not known if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash last week at Fernbridge.
