Eastern Humboldt Homicide victim identified

EUREKA- The victim of a homicide in eastern Humboldt has been identified. Last Friday, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office responded to State Route 36 east of Dinsmore for a traffic collision and gunshot victim.

47-year-old Anthony Joseph Calderone of Trinity County was found inside a truck that was damaged. Calderone was transported to Redwood Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
