Senator McGuire stops by Eureka High for food drive

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt County high school students are collecting canned foods, for a good cause and their getting a little help from our state Senator, Mike McGuire. Tuesday afternoon at Eureka High School, the friendly food drive competition brought in over a thousand pounds of non-perishable foods to Humboldt County’s food bank, “Food for People.”

This is the final push for Senator McGuire’s Third Annual Humboldt Holiday Food Drive. All six participating Humboldt schools will be dropping off their donations Wednesday between three and six at Safeway in Eureka. The public is encouraged to drop off more donations.

Humboldt Holiday Food Drive Wednesday December 12th 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Bring non-perishable food items Monetary donations are also accepted and 100 Percent will be invested in Food for People.
