Birth of Jesus Christ comes to life in Eureka

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) “Hope is born at Christmas” the theme of this year’s Live Nativity a true annual Christmas Special organized by the First Covenant Church.

Community members drove along an area of J. Street to view a variety of scenes that portrayed a “True Story of Christmas” which began over 2,000 years ago.

Riders listened to a recorded narrative as they read along and learned about the birth of Jesus Christ.

“That’s important to us,” said Char Kellogg, Outreach Director for the First Covenant Church. “They see a group of people working together. That’s an exciting thing and it’s just become something that is Christmas in Eureka, a lot of people who have come before say it’s a family tradition.”

Saturday night was the last night of the Live Nativity which has been organized for 14 years.
