Man robs McKinleyville gas station, gets away with money, cigarettes

MCKINLEYVILLE (KIEM)- A McKinleyville gas station is robbed early Wednesday morning with the male suspect getting away with money and cigarettes.

At around 4:30, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office responded to the Reasor Road 76 gas station. The male suspect brandished a knife and demanded cash, a pack of Marlboro cigarettes and fled the store on foot.

Witnesses chased the suspect westbound on Reasor Road but lost sight of him near McKinleyville High School.

The suspect is described as a light colored male, 5 foot 11, 160 pounds wearing sunglasses, a red bandana, black hooded sweatshirt with a red jacket and dark colored baggy pants.
