Pilot fire contained at 30 acres

WILLOW CREEK (KIEM)- The Pilot fire was contained at 30 acres in eastern Humboldt county.

CalFire tells us the fire started Tuesday afternoon north of Dinsmore in the pilot rock area off of US Forest Service route one.

Crews were able to make progress overnight with cooler temperatures and high humidity. There were 2 engines, two hand crews and a chief officer at the scene.

The cause is under investigation.
