Many of us would like to see a pay raise in our checks. Starting today, members of the Board of Supervisors can start to see an increase in their paychecks. In a three-to-one vote, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted to raise their salary from $87,000 to $95,000.

But Supervisors Rex Bohn and Steve Madrone decided not to take the raise. Instead, they will be giving back their share to the people of Humboldt County. The Board works seven days a week, night and day.

Supervisor Bohn says, he didn’t take the job for the money, but believes that the board deserves it.
