Jaws of Life used to free woman from truck

EUREKA- Humboldt Bay fire crews freed a woman from under her truck after a crash with a US Postal vehicle.

It happened at around 10:30 Thursday morning on Campton road in south Eureka. The woman was driving a Ford Ranger and reportedly was involved in a crash with a postal vehicle.

The lady then drove away but stopped a short time later. She got out and that’s when the truck started to roll down the hill and her leg was pinned by the front drivers side of the vehicle.

Fire crews used the jaws of life to free her from the truck. She was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Police on scene told Redwood News the woman might have had a medical issue when the crash happened.
