Hundreds sign petition to support pedestrian safety on the plaza

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) Hundreds signed a petition supporting prioritizing pedestrian safety at the Arcata Plaza.The Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities will present the petition with over 500 signatures to the City of Arcata Plaza Improvement Task Force, Thursday.

That meeting will start at 4:30pm in the Senior Room at the Arcata Community Center.

The group wants the city council and plaza improvement task force to prioritize pedestrians and another non-vehicular user in the plans to revitalize the plaza.
