The Yurok Tribe to train elected officials in emergency preparedness

KLAMATH, Ca., (KIEM)- The Yurok Tribe is reaching out to the community by preparing for an emergency in case the worst should happen.

The Tribe’s Emergency Management Program will be training with elected officials. The Yurok Tribe wants to get the word out to tribal members in order to save lives.

By educating the public and looking out for one another. Public works director dean baker says rural areas don’t have all of the resources readily available like they do in urban areas.
