City of Eureka offers $370,000 to new tourism marketing ideas

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – The city of Eureka is looking for a new approach to increase tourism, and they’re looking to the public for help.

The city plans to offer $370,000 a year to a destination marketing firm or business interested in expanding the cities current tourist strategies. Development Service Director Bob Holmlund says the best proposal submitted will have 370,000 dollars to spend on re-branding the North Coast. With the expected increase of tourist, the city hopes a get return on their investments.
