Dozens support pro-life at Stand-for-Life Rally

Eureka,Ca., (KIEM) Dozens gather in front of the Humboldt County Courthouse Sunday afternoon in the name of “pro-life.” Adults and children of all ages lined the area of 5th Street signs in hand ready to advocate for what many supporter calls, the voiceless.

Brother and sister duo Jonny and Moriah Wisan said they have been involved in this sort of work for as long as they can remember. Jonny shared that he will continue to stand in life if that means he can save one.

“We had been at one rally before was a woman came up bitter, hurt and broken and she was actually going to get an abortion that day,” said Jonny Wisan. “And after speaking with us she didn’t go through with it and a year later she said it was the best decision of her life, she has that child and it changed everything for her.”

Sunday’s rally marks the 46th anniversary of the US Supreme Court’s Roe versus Wade decision back in 1973. Humboldt residents assembled in commemoration of the over 61 million unborn babies who have been aborted since the court legalized abortion-on-demand.

“All life is precious and it’s all worth protecting in supporting, shared Moriah Wisan. “so whether you’re a baby or not born yet or my kid or a teenager an old person it’s all important in it all ties together.”

The Wisans said life is precious and they just want to see it blossom. Over 70 people attended the pro-life rally.
