Music, food, and art was all part of the 19th annul Bowl of Beans

ARCATA, Ca., (KIEM)- Music, food, and art. It was all a part of the 19th annual bowl of beans event, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr day.

People of all ages and races came to the Arcata Community Center tonight to celebrate the historic icon.

Different groups performed music and kids made artwork that was posted around the room. The proceeds go to Arcata Elementary School for field trips, classroom supplies and other activities. Michael Moore Jr helped coordinate the school’s portion for the event said it’s important to talk about and celebrate diversity.
