Rock Slide Closes off Panther Gap Road

For the second time this week, the hills are moving near the intersection of Mattole Road.

The Humboldt County Public Works received reports of a rock slide around seven Tuesday morning. The slide has closed off Panther Gap Road.

Deputy Director with the Humboldt County Works, Tony Seghetti, tells us conditions are unsafe to work, but they will start working on the road when it dries out more tomorrow. They hope to get the road open as soon as possible.
