Woman gets stuck in elevator at Eureka City Hall

EUREKA, Ca., (KIEM)- For some people , it’s could be a very scary situation. Imagine getting stuck in the elevator. Well that’s exactly what happened today to one woman, and it occurred at Eureka City Hall.

The incident occurred around 2:30 this afternoon. Fortunately, Humboldt Bay Fire was able to respond quickly and free the woman. Luckily for her, the elevator was on the main floor. It just wouldn’t open.

Maintenance staff turned off the power to the elevator. So the woman and fire fighters could push the door open. The female was uninjured.

City staff is looking into the cause of the elevator mishap.
