Eureka’s Elks Lodge Serves Free Dinners to Coast Guard and Famlies

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – With the ongoing government shutdown, thousands of federal workers are still working without pay. But Eureka’s Elks Lodge members is now hosting dinners for members of the Coast Guard and their families.

It’s a way to show support and also thank the Coast Guard for being on duty despite the shutdown. Even while they’re not receiving any pay, the Coast Guard still continues to do their jobs.

The Eureka’s Elks Lodge will be serving the free dinner to the Coast Guard every Wednesday night. It’s expected to go on until the government shutdown ends.
