HSU Students and Community Groups Rally Against Deforestation

TRINIDAD, Ca. (KIEM) – Students from HSU and members of the community rallied to protest the of Green Diamond’s deforestation.

Groups such as Earth Guardians, Climate Crisis Humboldt, and student organizations from HSU attended the rally. They’re bringing awareness to deforestation Humboldt County.

The rally also included a hike, where groups got a chance to see just how deforestation is affecting the community. One organizers says, the rally is to shed light onto this ongoing problem.

The group plans to take their demands to the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors.
