The American Legion Reaching Out to Veterans

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – One organization in Humboldt County is reaching out to veterans, to let them know that even if they’ve been out of service for a while there are still resources for them out there.

The American Legion has been around since 1919. They’ve been a key advocate for veteran benefits. Vets are encouraged to learn more about The American Legion. They want to let vets know that even if they don’t have a post but are post 1000 members, The American Legion has a spot for them to join.

In Humboldt County alone, there are over 20,000 veterans.
