Hoopa Tribal Police awards Officer of the Year

Hoopa Valley, Ca., (KIEM) Hoopa Tribal Police are happy to recognize one of their own. Officer Joey Jackson was named Hoopa Tribal Police Officer of the Year by his department.

Officials who work with Officer Jackson said he’s an ideal recipient of this recognition due to his rapid growth in the program. As well as his dedication towards the protection of the Hoopa Valley Reservation.

Hoopa Tribal Police added that awards like these are important for the department because it sets expectations to strive to become better police officers. Not to mention, these awards are also meant to convey appreciation.

In addition, Officer Jackson was one of the two Hoopa Tribal Police Officers that graduated from the 121st College of the Redwoods Police Academy.
