54th Annual Clam Beach Run Draws in Crowd of Runners

TRINIDAD, Ca. (KIEM) – The morning might have started off with a little bit rain and clouds, but some sun definitely shined through as the day went on. Making it a perfect day for runners to hit the 54th annual Clam Beach Run.

The race had three starting points. Both the 8 ¾ and 3 miles races started near Patrick’s Point. The 5 ¾ mile race began at Saunders Park, near the Trinidad Library. Both The 5 ¾ and 8 ¾ finished at Clam Beach, while the 3 mile ended at Saunders Park. Racers were geared up and ready to run. But the biggest challenge of the race was going through Moonstone Beach’s Little River.

Proceeds from the run goes towards Trinidad’s Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund and also supports local community events in Trinidad.
