Crescent City home damaged in fire

CRESCENT CITY (KIEM)- A fire started Wednesday afternoon at a Crescent City home. It happened at around 3:30 pm at a residence on the 300 block of Cooper Avenue.

When Crescent City fire and rescue arrived on scene, there were flames visible from the windows from the structure. The Pelican Bay Fire department also responded.

It took an hour for fire fighters to bring the blaze under control. Everyone made it out of the home safe and there were no injuries.

An estimated $50,000 in damage was done to the house.

The cause remains under investigation.
