Structure Fire on Kings Valley Road in Crescent City

Crescent City, Ca., (KIEM) No one is hurt after a fire causes extensive damage to a house and car in Crescent City overnight.

Officials said it happened on Kings Valley Road. The homeowner told firefighters he woke up to fire and smoke coming from his tv and other electronics before escaping with his wife and dog.

Crews tell us the fire threatened several other homes in the area because of heavy winds.

One of those houses sustained some exterior damage and damage inside from the fire and smoke. We’re told the house where the fire began is a total loss as was the vehicle next to it.

Crescent City, Fort Dick and Pelican Bay Fire all responded to help put out the flames.
