Body found at Crescent City mobile home of missing woman

CRESCENT CITY (KIEM)- A body was found  at the Crescent City mobile home of a reported missing woman.

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s office located the body Thursday afternoon at a residence on the 1600 of Northcoast drive but are unable to confirm if it’s 31 year-old Emiley Hughes. She was reported missing on February 1.

Emiley’s vehicle was located Wednesday. A family member went to get her keys and noticed a strange odor coming from inside the home.

Back on February 11, the sheriff’s office said they tried to meet her estranged husband, Edward Hughes and gain legal entry into the home. But he never showed up and his phone was disconnected.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Edward Hughes, you are asked to call the sheriff’s office or dial 911.
