Coffee with a Cop Brings Together Fortuna Police and Residents

FORTUNA, Ca. (KIEM) – Fortuna residents got a chance to share a cup of coffee and some sweet treats with their local officers.

It was a chance for the citizens to interact with police. About seven officers attended. Residents and police officers shared coffee and cookies. They answered questions and listened to concerns from residents. Chief Dobberstein says, having these events creates dialogue between law enforcement and the community.

The Coffee with a Cop Program is a unique way to create trust between local law enforcement and residents.
