Hoopa Valley residents give back with a food drive

HOOPA (KIEM)- With the recent storms residents in north eastern Humboldt were left in the dark and low on food. According to community members, some parts of the region are still running off of generators.

That’s why a group of Hoopa community members decided to have a food drive and residents responded in a big way.

They were able to give meals to over 150 people and hand out several boxes of food Friday in Hoopa.  The coordinators would like to thank the Hoopa Valley Tribe for donating canned salmon for the elder food boxes.
