Planting Party Held to Help Conserve and Restore Natural Habitat

LOLETA, Ca. (KIEM) – A unique kind of party was held in Middle Creek. It was a planting party! It’s all to help the native species in that area.

Over twenty volunteers came to the planting party. The California Conservation Corps and the Bear River Band partnered together. It’s part of Bear River Rancheria’s planting project. The end goal is to conserve and restore the wildlife habitat.

Today’s planting project also helps to improve water quality before it enters the Eel River.
