EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – The City of Eureka plans to use recycled glass to help repair the roads.

The new & free glass recycling program is asking the public to donate. Only NON-CRV glass bottles and jars. With each donation Mercer Fraser will use the recycled glass as a road base for future projects. City officials say it’s a win win, because there is enough supply to meet the demand.

The City of Eureka has set up drop-off areas. You can drop of NON-CRV glass bottles and jars at the Municipal Auditorium, the public parking lot across from the Adorni Center and the Highland Park.
