McKinleyville High School Students Take a Visit to Humboldt County’s Superior Court

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Students at McKinleyville High School took a trip to the Humboldt County Courthouse. It’s to give them an inside look into how the local government functions.

Seventeen students visited the Humboldt’s Superior Court. They had a chance to sit in on the Board of Supervisors meeting and listen to the challenges the North Coast faces. Afterwards, students then had a chance to meet with lawyers who work at the courthouse. They then sat in on some court proceedings.

The students who visited are currently enrolled in government and leadership classes.
