ELK RIVER, Ca., (KIEM) Humboldt Bay Fire Fighters were out and about doing some water training on Berta road.

They picked this area because it was already flooded with water, so why not practice in a similar real-life situation.

They just want all of their water rescue team members to be better prepared to save someone in case they have to during a winter rain storm.

Humboldt Bay fire wants to remind you if you do get stranded inside your vehicle driving through flooded areas, do not try to get out. Instead call 911.
