Sheriff’s office releases alcohol, drug related deaths report

EUREKA (KIEM)- The Humboldt County Sheriff’s office has released its alcohol and other drug related deaths report for 2018.

The Sheriff’s office said the purpose of the report is to describe the trends in the number of deaths that are examined by the coroner’s office by age, gender, location and substance related to the death.  Last year, there were 57 reported deaths by alcohol or drugs. That’s up from 49 in 2017.
