Wiyot Tribe Botanist set to host presentation on local, medicinal plants

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – Spring is just around the corner and if you have an interest in local plants, there’s a special presentation happing on Friday at the Clarke Museum in Eureka.

Featured speaker Adam Canter has worked as a wildlife biologist and botanist since 2014. During his presentation, he plans to share his research and knowledge of the various plants here along the North Coast. He hopes as Spring approaches locals will have a greater understanding of the power of the plants.

The presentation is free and seating is on a first come first serve basis. The event will start at 1pm on Friday at the Clarke Historical museum in Old Town Eureka.
