Search and Rescue Sees Increase in Interested Members

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Its been weeks since the missing Benbow sisters were found safe.

Since then, the Volunteer Search and Rescue Team here on the North Coast has seen increased interest in membership.

The search and rescue team first got the call about the missing sisters on Friday evening. That’s when they deployed several volunteers to go out and help. So far, there are about 45 members. Search and rescue also has several different crews such as ground search, marine team, and some even works with canines.
