EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – March is Women’s History Month. It’s this month where we celebrate women empowerment and the work they do.

Eureka High School students sat down and listened to a panel of passionate women.

“I thought their lives were interesting in how they became so successful in the careers that they do,” said student athlete Dominick Anguiano.

The school’s Multicultural Club is celebrating Women’s History Month, by honoring women who are making an impact.

“It’s very empowering to definitely hear them talk about their stories,” said Multicultural Club President Adriana Newland. “It makes me want to push harder through school to end up where I want to be in my life.”

These four fierce ladies came from all walks of life to share stories and their journeys with the students.

“Hearing her talk about her experiences and how she really wasn’t sure what she wanted to do definitely gave me an open eye that there are so many opportunities that I can take and end up there,” said Adriana.

For Dominick, he tells Redwood News the work that these women is like the way a sports team works.

Each woman had a different journey and experiences. But they all have made an impact.

“They’re a different but they’re all so powerful these women,” said club member Nicole Quintero.

By celebrating Women’s History Month, it’s shedding light about how women are helping to change the world whether big or small.

“It brings more awareness to it, so I feel people need to learn that women do the same things as men,” said Nicole.

This is the 4th annual Women’s History Month celebration for the Multicultural Club.
