Ferndale Elementary School Hosts First Multicultural Festival

FERNDALE, Ca. (KIEM) – Residents are tasting all kinds of cultures from all over the world and it’s all to celebrate the different traditions from around the globe.

Ferndale Elementary School is hosting their first ever Multicultural Festival. It’s a chance for the community to taste different kinds of food and watch traditional dances. Those who came out got to experience German, Filipino, Mexican, Italian, and Native American traditions just to name a few.

School counselor Christina Perez says having this festival celebrates students who come from all around the globe.

The school hopes that the festival becomes a yearly event.
