Kiwanis Club of Rio Dell & Scotia Host for Fruhlings Festival

RIO DELL, Ca. (KIEM) – It’s Oktoberfest” but in spring and it’s called a Fruhlings Festival!

It’s a German Spring Festival and it’s celebrate the spring season and the plants that are soon to bloom.

People had a chance to drink local beer and a chance to grab a hot dog.

The Kiwanis club of Rio Dell and Scotia put this event together. It’s also a fundraiser to help Rio Dell School get their own garden. Harry Smith, the president of the Kiwanis club says, that having this festival is a great way to bring out the community.

This is the first Fruhlings Festival. The club hopes this becomes an annual event.
